Bodie Todeschi, a pastel artist, is a native of Durango, and growing up in Colorado in the late 40’s and 50’s has greatly influenced the subject matter of her artwork. After having spent over thirty years in Kansas ranching and raising her family, Bodie returned to her native roots in 2009. While residing in Kansas, she exhibited in galleries in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.
Bodie studied art at Fort Lewis College in Durango and has attended art seminars at colleges in Arizona and Kansas. For the most part, however, over the years she has become a self-taught artist. Her work is done primarily in soft pastel on Canson archival paper. Other media are used occasionally, but the vibrancy and clarity of color in pastels holds her interest and fuels her desire to achieve excellence in that medium.
Since returning to Durango, Bodie has been busy doing pet and family portraits on a commission basis. Click on her e-mail link below to contact her for more information.
